      The Battle of Bataan and the Bataan Death March

 The Araw ng Kagitingan is the day of the Philippines’ final stand some time recently eventually being possessed by the Japanese amid World War 2. April 9 was named “Bataan Day” and declared a holiday after the Republic Act 3022 was passed by Congress in 1961. T The holiday was later renamed to “Araw ng Kagitingan” as part of the Executive Order No. 203 in 1987.In 1989, Proclamation 466 declared the week of April 5 to 11 as “Veterans Week” to honor all the veterans of the Philippine military, not just the ones who served during the Second World War.

Philippines was attacked by the Japanese forces, coming full circle within the fight and possible the fall of Bataan. This day moreover commemorates the notorious Death March wherein roughly 76,000 Filipino, American, and Chinese officers were constrained by the Japanese to walk 90 miles) from Bataan to Camp O’Donnell in Capas, Tarlac.  These are stories not fair of troopers in combat, but of conventional Filipinos doing exceptional achievements. However don't forget that valor isn't displayed as it were in times of genuine war. Some of the time, the risk is in times of peace — the battle less self-evident, the danger more treacherous.The Day of Valor is an opportunity for Filipinos today, and for Filipinos tomorrow, to remember moments of our past, of strength and courage against overwhelming odds, and to call upon that strength once more if need be.

Araw ng Kagitingan can never fair be approximately acts of boldness of those who have come and battled some time recently us. The call to valor is for each Filipino to know who we are, what we have been competent of within the past, what values we hold most expensive nowadays,  and what we must do to protect them always.
